Hi Rhythm Section Branding
The Hi Rhythm Section was the house band for hit soul albums by several artists, including Al Green and Ann Peebles, on Willie Mitchell's Hi Records label in the 1960s and ‘70s. THey still record and tour today with multiple acts and as a solo act.
THE DESIGN INSPIRATION AND CONCEPT
Boo Mitchell (Grammy award winning producer and son of Willie Mitchell) reached out to me to create a branding identity for the Hi Rhythm Section.
The final concept is based off of Willie Mitchell’s 1967 album ‘Solid Soul’.
