THE DESIGN INSPIRATION AND CONCEPT

Every year Memphis Tourism hosts an annual meeting to discuss future plans and results of plans, events, and campaigns past. The meeting is also intended to serve as an opportunity to network with partners around the city and region.

Memphis Tourism asked me to make the email invitations for 2025, as well as a guest check-in sign (for print), a digital sign for their lectern, and a “save-the-date” letter to be emailed to all members.

I wanted the design concept to communicate “Memphis” through familiar themes: music, skyline, bridge, blue color scheme, etc. The client specified that they wanted a guitar and sunrise in the design, so I came up with the idea of making the sound hole in the guitar the sunrise.
